Sri Jagannathadasa was the one who had pleased SriGururaja with his intellect. He was the incarnation of Sahlad, the brother of Prahladaraja. Sri Jagannathadasa did not waste even a moment out of the 40 years that he had received as a gift from his guru, and has presented the noble ones with the great composition ‘Harikatha- mritasara’. He has done a great favour to all by composing this text, which elucidates the principle propounded by SriMadhwacharya, in Prakrit. It is said that pleased with his devotion, SriGururaja used to hold conversation with him from within the vrindavana. The verses composed by him are truly meaningful and captivate the intellectuals and ordinary mortals alike.
